Life can be challenging and unpredictable. Dealing with changing situations seems to be around every corner and has a direct impact on our self confidence.
I work with young people (16-25 year olds) to find healthy perceptions of themselves, strengthen their relationships, regulate emotions, improve resilience, focus and ultimately self confidence. I am a member of The Girls Network Charity coaching young women in schools preparing for exams, university, career decisions and internships. I also coach newly appointed leaders to develop a new set of mindsets, behaviours and skills to successfully shift from a role primarily focused on execution and delivery to one where success is determined by the ability to inspire, empower and guide a team.
My professional experience includes 15 years leading teams in corporate organisations in Learning and Development, Executive Coaching and Operations and 10 years as the Founder and Coach of Purple Hat Coaching Company. My educational background includes certificates in health and wellness coaching, NLP, nutrition and stress management.
I am married, have two teenage children and Lluna the labrador

Why are we called Purple Hat?
Purple Hat is inspired by a wonderful poem I came across many years ago. The poem describes a little girl growing up and all the thoughts she has at different stages which impact on her confidence and her ability to have the life she wants.
Age 3: She looks at herself and sees a Queen.
Age 8: She looks at herself and sees Cinderella.
Age 15: She looks at herself and sees an Ugly Sister (Mum I canât go to school looking like this!)
Age 20: She looks at herself and sees âtoo fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curlyâ - but she decides sheâs going out anyway.
Age 30: She looks at herself and sees âtoo fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curlyâ - but she decides she doesnât have time to fix it, so sheâs going out anyway
Age 40: She looks at herself and sees âcleanâ and goes out anyway
Age 50: She looks at herself and sees âI amâ and goes wherever she wants to go
Age 60: She looks at herself and reminds herself of all the people who canât even see themselves in the mirror anymore. Goes out and conquers the world
Age 70: She looks at herself and sees wisdom, laughter and ability, goes out and enjoys life
Age 80: Doesnât bother to look. Just puts on a purple hat and goes out to have fun with the world
